This workshop is a practical and poetic introduction to exposure — the foundation of photographic intention. The session moves from technical clarity to creative consequence, showing how exposure becomes a language rather than a rule. It is designed for photographers who want to move beyond “correct settings” and toward deliberate, expressive choices in-camera. -François Cléroux is an award-winning street photographer (and former DPC president), modern flâneur, and poet based in Vancouver. Internationally published and exhibited, he blends attentive wandering with a reflective, project-driven practice shaped by a decade of street photography and poetic work. He is the creator of The Evolving Photographer, author of A Flâneur’s Journal, and founder of The Atelier of the Evolving Photographer, a mentorship space for artists developing long-form, intentional photographic projects.
