Cancelled – Royal BC Museum Outing – Wildlife Photographer of the Year
March 8, 2020DPC Meetings Cancelled Until Further Notice
March 19, 2020Hi Everyone,
We will be holding our SIG night on March 25th.
“Fuji Guy” Gord Webster was given his first Instamatic camera at the age of five. Growing up in a household where his Dad worked as the camera buyer for a large department store meant that Gord was constantly exposed to, and able to try, the “latest and greatest” photo gear. So, it only made sense for Gord to merge his passion for photography with his career.
For over 26 years Gord has been with Fujifilm Canada, and for over 15 years has been representing and showcasing Fujifilm products at public events. This allows Gord to continue to use the “latest and greatest” photo gear. The “FujiGuys” YouTube channel, originally created in Canada, has over 500 ‘tips, tricks and showcase’ videos, almost 60,000 subscribers, and almost 15 million total views.
Several of Gord’s own images have been used by Fujifilm Canada to promote various digital cameras, and the quality they produce. Gord almost always has a camera with him, ever eager to expand his photographic catalogue. He is particularly interested in nature, landscapes and scenery, yet enjoys experimenting with other aspects of photography.
Considering switching to mirrorless and considering Fujifilm or already have a Fujifilm system and want to find out more? Join Fuji Guy Gord Webster who will spend some time going over some of the reasons to choose mirrorless and specifically Fujifilm. Gord will also be going over some of the reasons why people are choosing Fujifilm, some of the advanced settings that can be used on Fujifilm cameras, some tips and tricks and answer any questions you may have about Fujifilm cameras. This will also be a great opportunity to see the new camera models: including the X100V, the X-Pro3 and even the not-yet-available X-T4 and many of the lenses. Bring you questions and Fujifilm gear to try out with Gord’s cameras and lenses. If you don’t yet have Fujifilm, but want to try it out and then see your results at home, bring along a formatted SD memory card.
