September 10, 2019Come to the First Meeting of the New Season!
DPC reconvenes on September 11, 2019 at the Kin Village Recreation Centre in Tsawwassen.
Social and membership sign-up (renewals and new members – $70 for the year) is at 7 pm; the workshop runs 7:30 – 9:30.
For the first workshop of the new season, we are pleased to present Sharon Tenenbaum, international award-winning photographer and instructor. She will discuss her journey of transition from professional engineering to photography and an overview of her work and progress; what Fine Art Architectural Photography is and how to create it; and the vision and application of “Seeing Lines” in her Sundial Bridge Series.
Sharon Tenenbaum was educated as a civil engineer in Israel and practiced professionally in Vancouver. In 2007 she made a decision to part from engineering in order to pursue her passion for photography. She started with street photojournalism and her work covers a wide gamut of subject matter from ‘in the moment’ photojournalism to fine art architectural photography, which is a perfect marriage of her engineering and artistic sides. In a relatively short period, she has managed to define an artistic direction and distinctive style in her work, acquiring international recognition in the process. Sharon instructs locally and internationally, has numerous fine art international awards and her work has been published in several magazines including National Geographic. https://www.sharontenenbaum.com
