Members

For many of us the full realization of the photographic image is through a physical manifestation. Join us at Kin Village and participate in our upcoming Print Coaching Night on February 19th.

7:00 PM: Door opens – meet and greet
7:30 PM: Meeting starts

We are excited to announce awarding winning photographer Kevin Lanthier (https://kevinlanthier.com/) will join us to share his knowledge and expertise.

A loose focus for this Print Coaching Night is readying members’ images for the upcoming Crescent Beach Photo Club 2025 Black and White Print Competition (April 26, 2025). You can never start too soon. Both B+W/monochrome and colour images are welcome for this event.

Print submission guidelines

Each member is welcome to submit up to 3 prints, which can be colour or monochrome/B&W. Prints should be:

Minimum size: 8 x 10”, maximum size: 16 x 20”
Mounted on sturdy backing board, maximum 16 x 20”
Mat is not required, but preferable
No frame or glass over the print
No signature or writing on the image or the front of the mat
Attach a label on the back of each print with Print title, Maker’s name, and Category (Colour or B+W) legibly printed
Take advantage of our partner discounts for printing and supplies! See the DPC Members Only page for details.

We encourage everyone to take part in this fun learning opportunity and look forward to seeing your beautiful prints.

Why print, some of you may ask?

  • Understand your photography better – Print reveals details, tones, and emotions that might not be otherwise possible to pick up on screen.
  • Enhance your experience – Printing transforms your work into a tactile, lasting creation that raises your connection with the photographic process to a whole new level.
  • Create something lasting – Unlike digital files, prints have a tangible and permanent presence that can be appreciated for years to come.
