There are only two Skills Nights on the calendar for this Delta Photo Club year, this second one was on on Wednesday, April 24. I missed the first one because I was away; George Pierce kindly hosted and presented at that session, last October. Recording now available for members.

For this Skills Night there will be four parts: (EDIT: Due to time constraints we only covered Francois and Garnet’s presentations.

1. Award winning photographer, Francois Cleroux, will take us through his process for creating one of his special images from vision to creation. As you know, Francois is a gifted teacher and presenter, so I can’t wait to see what he has to share with us.
2. Garnet Grosjean, freshly returned from his photographic journey to the Masai Mara, will share his vision and skills for creating a photographic book using Lightroom.
3. Come to the meeting with a recommendation for how you learned a photography skill recently, such as by participating in an online workshop, or watching a YouTube video. For instance, I will tell you about Steve Perry’s YouTube channel.
4. I will share with you my process for finding and photographing bald eagles in dramatic interactions. I will then show you my post processing workflow on my highest scoring image ever.

It is intended that this session be interactive with lots of discussion. Part 3, sharing a learning source will depend on available time, and could be a feature of future Skills Nights if it is popular.
