DPC Photo Nights are held about once a month and give members an opportunity to share their photographs with the group. We select themes with some of the following criteria in mind: Seasonality, Photographic Technique, Creativity Challenges and Relevance to DPC Workshops. The aim in choosing themes is to try to spur your imagination, challenge you to think outside of the box, try new techniques, expand your skill set, and experiment with your photography. Of course, it is also an opportunity for you to show the group what you have been photographing. There is always an Open category for any photographs which don’t fit into any of the themes.
Here are this month’s Photo Night Challenge Categories:

1) Those Lazy-Hazy-Crazy Days of Summer – This is our Seasonal theme for you to share photos which reflect some of your summer time experiences or evoke what summer means to you.
2) Hidden – Sometimes things are hiding in plain sight, have hidden meaning, or are really hiding. Show us what you can do with this theme.
3) Outings – We are grateful for the several DPC outings this past Spring/Summer such as, but not limited to, the Airshow, Sunflower Festival, Reifel Bird Sanctuary, Burns Bog. We would love to see some of your photos that were taken on these outings.
4) Not Just Flowers – Summer is a bountifull time for flowers and nature. We would like to see some of your Macro work with photos of plants/flowers with either insects or birds.
5) Open – For any submissions which don’t fit into the other Categories.

Note: Each member can submit up to 2 images for each of the challenge categories

Members can also send short slideshows or videos.

Remember, for the best display quality, images should be resized to a maximum width of 1920 pixels and a maximum height of 1080 pixels. This may not be possible with cell/tablet images so please send us the largest image possible, up to the limits indicated above.

It is important to name your files as shown below so that they can be sorted and everyone’s images can be shown.
