The next Photo night will Wednesday, April 10, 2024 – over Zoom. What better way to celebrate a changing season than by sharing our photographic creativity. (Members, see the announcement email or visit the Members Only page for the Zoom information.)

Our themes for April are as follows:

1. Bridges: We are all familiar with bridges, living in Delta. Why not celebrate the beauty and stature of bridges from not only around our neighbourhoods but from anywhere.
2. Perspective: To quote one of our recent workshop presenters, Moisés Levy, “Tell dynamic stories, immerse yourself into the action….”. This theme reflects that close up perspective.
3. Spring Buds – a minimalist approach: Spring is here and many of summer’s delights are starting to ‘bud’. This theme of Spring Buds, asks you to capture the ‘bud’ in a minimalist fashion. We’re hoping that you reduce the background distractions to focus primarily of the buds themselves, trying to capture the essence of Spring starting.
4. Open:Open: The opportunity to submit photos which don’t fit into the other categories.

Note: It is important to name your files as shown below so that they can be sorted and everyone’s images can be shown.

   Use 2 for 2nd photo etc.
4. Open:    LastnameFirstname-1-Open-ImageTitle.jpg
   Use 2 for 2nd photo etc.

Videos/Slideshows:    LastnameFirstname-1- Category -VideoTitle
Use 2 for 2nd video/slideshow etc. (Videos should be kept to a reasonable length for viewing.)

Note: Each member can submit up to 2 images for each of the 3 themes of: 1)Bridges 2)Perspective 3)Spring Buds (SB) AND up to 3 images for the theme: 4) Open

Each member can submit up to 2 videos/slideshows per Photo Night.

Images/videos/slideshows should be submitted to photonight@deltaphotoclub.com by 12:00pm, noon on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

Remember, for the best display quality, images should be resized to a maximum width of 1920 pixels and a maximum height of 1080 pixels. This may not be possible with cell/tablet images so please send us the largest image possible, up to the limits indicated above.
