DPC Digital Night is Wednesday, October 10, 2018
The themes for this month reflect the changes in the air:
1. Fall
Anything that reminds us of the cooling weather, changes in the vegetation, and harvest time. Fall is full of so many warming colours.
2. Nature
There is an upcoming CAPA competition that the club will be entering. The theme is “Nature”. Submit your pictures and get feedback on them so you can tweak them for the upcoming competition. See below for more details on the competition requirements.
3. Before and After — Renamed to: Past and Present
This is where you can share with others your skills in post production and your artistic flare. Members get to see what your picture looked like before and then what it looks like after you’ve made changes.
Please Note: File naming is important in this category as the files need to be shown in a specific order for the effect to be seen.
Each member can submit up to 3 images in each category.
Members can also send short slideshows or videos. We will try to show everyone’s first submissions, then 2nd & 3rd as time permits.
CAPA “Nature” Competition requirements:
The Nature Photography images can include landscapes, geologic formations, weather phenomena, and extant organisms as the primary subject matter; even wildlife kept in zoos, aquariums etc. But, no ‘hand of man’ can be shown, meaning nothing manmade, such as gravel paths, concrete, wire, poles, docks, cut logs etc. There is also limited editing allowed.
