Greetings DPC members

We hope you are enjoying the current heat wave with safety in mind, using the golden light of early morning and early evening to best advantage–bringing out the best resolution while staying hydrated and comfortable.

Since 2018, the Outings crew has used the club’s summer hiatus to offer outings dialled in to unique local summer events. With Covid in the rearview, fingers crossed, we hope to return to our tradition of staying focussed and staying connected with timely photo junkets during July and August. Stay tuned for upcoming events through to September.

First up this summer will be a Saturday morning Cameras and Coffee where the trophy for Photographer of the Year will be presented. The venue will be Delta City Hall on July 2nd at 10:00 am. The winner for the 2021/22 season now concluded is David Friederich. Congratulations David on a well deserved win!

Date & Time Saturday July 2nd @ 10:00 am
Place: Delta City Hall, adjacent to the pond.
Bring: Lawn chairs, light refreshments – McDonalds, Tim Hortons and Blenz are in the vicinity.

On another note, David and David offer a hearty welcome to new Outings committee member, Karen Pacheco, who will bring to the team strong organizational skills, club executive experience and new creative energy.
