The next Photo night will Wednesday, March 13th, 2024 – over Zoom. What better way to spend one of this year’s last winter evenings than by sharing our photographic creativity. (Members, see the announcement email or visit the Members Only page for the Zoom information.)

We are continuing with our new numbering system as indicated below. Each member will go through their top, number one, images/videos for all categories and then we’ll move to the next person. So ensure you pick the images/videos you most want to share. If time permits we will repeat the process, with everyone showing their number two images/videos.

Our themes for March are as follows

1. Cinematic Photography: We are drawing inspiration from Fang Tong’s workshop held in January. Cinematic photography is a style of photography that emulates stills or frames from movie scenes. For reference, visit Fang Tong’s website, also the slide deck from the January Workshop is available on the Members Only page, plus an article we found with tips for cinematic photography.
2. Cold: Winter and the cold weather is hopefully drawing to a close. Show us the photos that you have taken to illustrate the winter cold.
3. Speed: We are looking for photos which illustrate speed. Time to get off that couch! See tips on capturing motion, keeping in mind that it is the concept of speed that is the challenge this month.
4. Open: The opportunity to submit photos which don’t fit into the other categories.

Note: It is important to name your files as shown below so that they can be sorted and everyone’s images can be shown.

   Use 2 for 2nd photo etc.

Videos/Slideshows:    LastnameFirstname-1- Category -VideoTitle
Use 2 for 2nd video/slideshow etc. (Videos should be kept to a reasonable length for viewing.)

Note: Each member can submit up to 2 JPEG images for each of the 4 themes: Cinematic Photography, Cold, Speed, and Open

Each member can submit up to 2 videos/slideshows per Photo Night.

Images/videos/slideshows should be submitted to photonight@deltaphotoclub.com by 12:00pm, noon on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

Remember, for the best display quality, images should be JPEG (.jpg) format resized to a maximum width of 1920 pixels and a maximum height of 1080 pixels. (This may not be possible with cell/tablet images so please send us the largest image possible, up to the limits indicated above.)
