DPC In-House Digital Competition – April 29, 2026

The DPC In-House Digital Competition is fast approaching, with the date set for Wednesday, April 29th, 2026. Now is the perfect time to let your creativity flow, fine-tune your images, and prepare your masterpieces for submission. Start planning, and let your vision shine!

This year we have decided to have an Open Theme. Open Theme refers to a competition where there are no restrictions on the subject matter, theme or style of photograph. It is designed to allow maximum creative freedom, permitting entries ranging from landscapes and portraits to abstract and highly manipulated images.

Submission Rules & restrictions:

  • Each member may submit a total of two images.
  • The deadline for submission is 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 25th. An email will be sent with the submission form for you to submit your images.

Image Requirements:

  • Max dimensions: width 1920 pixels by height 1080 pixels
  • Must be in sRGB colour space
  • Must be in jpg file format

AI Considerations

DPC considers a photographic image as one captured by a light sensitive device such as a film or digital camera, cell phone, or tablet. AI generated images created from scratch are not considered photographic images and are not accepted.

Use of AI features contained within a post processing application such as masking, sharpening, de-noise, content aware fill, or cloning are permitted.

Using Generative Fill AI to remove elements from a photograph or to expand the canvas is allowed.

Using AI to generate a new element of an image from a text prompt (e.g. give the subject a red hat) is not allowed.

Composite images are allowed as long as all the components of the image, e.g. sky or texture, were captured by the photographer.

Our judge for the evening is the highly respected Gordon Battaile from the Forest Grove Camera Club in Forest Grove, Oregon. Gordon is an very experienced judge, first introduced to us during the North Shore Photographic Challenge and he has judged and presented to the club numerous times.

We are looking forward to see all your amazing images!
