Our themes for April are as follows:

1. Sequence: Images tell a story but sometimes one image isn’t quite enough to tell the whole story. This month we’re providing an opportunity to tell the story in 2 or 3 images. For a series of 3 images you could present two images that results in the 3rd or 3 parts of a bird catching a fish. Alternatively, you could do a 2 image sequence of Before & After, where the first image shows before and the 2nd image shows the after. Let your imagination go on this one, but be sure to name your files correctly to ensure they are shown in sequence.
2. Mobile Device Photography (MDP): In February Alexandra Morrison provided a comprehensive workshop on mobile device photography. She explained what to consider and how to use your mobile device to optimize your digital photography. She also mentioned a number of apps that can be used to edit your images. We’d love to see how you’ve practiced capturing images with your mobile device.
3. Open: The opportunity to submit photos which don’t fit into the other categories.

Please take note of the numbering system below. Depending on the number of submissions per category, we will decide on the category order for showing everyone’s images. We will show the number one images/videos per member for the mobile device and open categories and then we’ll move to the next person. The same will be repeated for the sequence category. If time permits we will show everyone’s number two images for the mobile device and open categories. So ensure you pick the images/videos you most want to share.

It is important to name your files as shown below so that they can be sorted and everyone’s images can be shown.

1. Sequence (maximum of 3 images for a Series OR a maximum of 2 images for Before & After)
   • LastnameFirstname-Sequence-1-ImageTitle
   • Use 2 for 2nd photo etc.
2. Mobile Device Photography (MDP)
   • LastnameFirstname-1-MDP-ImageTitle
   • Use 2 for 2nd photo etc.
3. Open
   • LastnameFirstname-1-Open-ImageTitle
   • Use 2 for 2nd photo etc.
4. Videos/Slideshows
   • LastnameFirstname- VS – Category – VideoTitle
   • Videos should be kept to 1.5 minutes or less in length for viewing.

Note: Each member can submit up to 3 images for the theme of 1) Sequence and up to 2 images for each of the 2 themes of: 2) Mobile Device Photography (MDP) and 3) Open

Each member can submit up to 1 video/slideshow per photo night.

Images/videos/slideshows need to be uploaded by by 10:00pm on Monday, April 6, 2026 using our upload form. Links to the upload form have been sent in an email to DPC members with subject, “DPC Photo Night – April 8, 2026”

We will acknowledge receipt within a day or so.

If you run into problems with the form, you can email your images to our email below.Remember, for the best display quality, images should be resized up to a maximum width of 1920 pixels and a maximum height of 1080 pixels. This may not be possible with cell/tablet images so please send us the largest image possible, up to the limits indicated above.
