SUMMARY:Workshop: Psychology in Photography
DESCRIPTION:Ethan Zargo will deliver an in-person talk on Psychology in Pho
 tography on September 16th at Kin Village. This talk explores how viewers 
 experience images\, not just how photographers create them. We look at wha
 t pulls attention\, what creates emotion\, and what makes an image stay wi
 th you. We study a range of images including Renaissance painters and ask 
 why certain work lands and why other work falls flat. Understanding how pe
 ople view your images changes how you see before you ever raise the camera
 .\n\nEthan is a former computer engineer and devoted left-brain user. Afte
 r careful consideration\, he decided his left side was getting a little to
 o muscular and heavy\, and it was time to work on the right. He became a p
 rofessional photographer based in Vancouver. He is now coming back to the 
 photo club he first started with - now an award-winning architectural and 
 commercial photographer. That is either a success story or a very long det
 our. He prefers to call it the first!\n\nHis work was exhibited in New Yor
 k in June 2026. He won the Applied Arts Architectural Photography Award th
 at same year and received Honourable Mentions at the Black and White Inter
 national Photo Awards in Architecture and Sports\, and at the Paris Intern
 ational Street Photo Awards in Architecture.\n\nTopic: Psychology in Photo
