DESCRIPTION:Delta Photo Club is pleased present “The Photograph as Haiku
 ”\, a workshop by MH Rubin at 9:30 - 11:30 am\, Saturday\, April 8th on 
 Zoom.\n\nRubin says\, “I offer a unique method of teaching and thinking 
 about photography that combines lessons of mid-century modernism with the 
 principles of haiku (alongside a Zen-arts philosophical foundation) to cre
 ate more enjoyable and interesting pictures. While technical and business 
 aspects of photography are important\, I focus on aesthetics and philosoph
 y to help students understand what makes a good picture and how to continu
 e growing once they have technical skill. This approach can be applied to 
 any kind of subject matter\, and emphasizes quick\, improvisational\, comp
 osition. Whether you're a beginner or an expert\, this method is challengi
 ng and rewarding to learn.”\n\nMH Rubin is a photographer and educator\,
  currently residing in Santa Fe\, NM. Rubin has had a distinguished career
  in disruptions and creative technology: highlights include roles at Lucas
 film\, Netflix and Adobe. He's the author of a dozen books\, including “
 Droidmaker” the history of Lucasfilm and Pixar\, and most recently\, “
 The Photograph as Haiku.” After being young protégé of Jerry Uelsmann\
