(The Z oom link will be sent the day before\, January 13\, 2026)\n\nOur themes fo r January are as follows: \n1) Light Reflections and/or Bokeh (LRB): At&nb sp\;Christmas we see a lot of light displays and though they are pretty th ere isn't always an artistic photo opportunity. Our challenge is for you t o submit images that show some artistic flair with Christmas light reflect ions and/or bokeh.\nBokeh (pronounced BOH-kuh) in photography refers to th e aesthetic quality of the blur in the out-of-focus parts of an image\, es pecially how light appears in those blurry areas\, creating soft\, pleasin g orbs or shapes. \;It's not the blur itself (that's depth of field)\, but the character of that blur\, \;described as \;the smoothness\ , shape\, and feel of out-of-focus light and background areas\, which can be "silky\," "buttery\," or even "busy" and "swirly" depending on the lens .\n2) New Year/New Beginnings (NYNB): \;Capture an image that tells th e story of a new beginning or a new years resolution.\n3) Horse : \;In the Chinese Zodiac\, \;on February 17\, \;2026 \;the Year of the Fire Horse (or Red Horse) begins. In observance of this upcoming year\ , we're asking you to share your horse images.
