Germinated &\; grown without human assistance and in the wild.  Human elements are not a llowed except where they are an integral part of the nature story (10% of less of image).  This one doesn't get a lot of entries so it could intere sting to try.\n Nature – subjects such as animals\, birds\, insects\, r eptiles &\; marine subjects – under the control &\; feeding of hum ans if not obvious – such as zoos\, game farms\, animal preserves\, aqua rium etc.  Human elements are not allowed except where they are an integr al part of the nature story (10% of less of image).  Scientific bands are allowed.\n Wildlife – ONLY living &\; untamed mammals\, birds\, ins ects\, reptiles &\; marine subjects – no hand of man.\n Landscape – subjects such as weather phenomena\, geological formations\, landscape s\, seascapes &\; natural phenomena\, planets\, stars &\; astronomic al events – no hand of man.\n\nEditing allowed:\n\n HDR\, monochrome\, cropping\, sharpening\, dodging\, burning\, focus stacking (although not i n Wildlife)\, removal of elements added by the camera (e.g. dust spots\, n oise &\; scratches)\, slow shutter speed (only if natural looking).\n\n Not allowed:\n\n Composites\, infrared\, vignettes\, adding or removing o r changing elements\, creative filters\, photo stitching\, softening or bl urring of background\, long exposure blurring of clouds\, digital frames o r boarders.\n\n \;\n\nImage Specifications – submitted JPEG image mu st comply with:\n– Dimensions: maximum horizontal size is 1400 pixels &a mp\; maximum vertical size is 1050 pixels.  Note: one of the dimensions m ust be exactly the maximum allowed size &\; neither dimension may excee d the maximum pixels for that dimension.\n– Colour Space: sRGB\n– Maxi mum file size: 1.8 MB\n\nLabel your images as follows:\n\n1 – John Doe – Pretty Picture - category.jpg\n\nUse 2 for 2nd photo etc.\n\nTitle mus t be 5 words or less.\nCategory is one of Botanical\, Nature\, Wildlife or Landscape.\n\nEach member can submit up to 3 images per category but no m ore than 8 images total.  Note that only 1 image per member can be select ed by our club to go in the competition and 8 images will be selected in t otal.\n\nIf you are unsure whether your image will qualify\, send it in an d we will figure it out for you.\n\nJoin us on Zoom on Wednesday evening\, October 21st\, to see all the images and hear their scores.
