Imaging with Intention – The 8 inches BEHIND the Viewfinder

The Delta Photo Club is pleased to present another workshop by Jay Gough on Wednesday, February 6 from 7:15 – 9:30 pm at the KinVillage Community Centre in Tsawwassen.

During this informal evening session, Jay will take you through a series of images from different genres to discuss intention. When we’re about to make an exposure there are countless different decisions the camera operator must make. From composition, to aperture and shutter speed, to camera and lens selection…the technical aspects of the craft must be covered. But what about the reasons WHY these decisions were made? What was the intent? What are we trying to portray when we make an image; be it of a person or a place? Take a deep dive in the mind of an image creator as we talk about the decisions that went into making each image. Ask lots of questions, gear related or otherwise, Jay is ready to answer them all.

Jay Gough is the BC Territory Manager for Sales and Nikon Professional Services for Nikon Canada. A devout Nikonian since he was 7 years old, Jay has spent the last 35 years photographing the world around him.
