Inspiration for one of this month’s themes comes from a member suggestion. There is a whole world of photographic opportunities that can be easily overlooked and be a challenge to capture–the world of ‘Macro’ photography. So this month let’s look closely and take pictures of the small things in life.

The other theme this month is in preparation for the upcoming black and white pint competition hosted by Crescent Beach Photography Club. Club images will be selected on March 20th. To add some interest to the digital presentation of your black and white pictures, I’ve included the categories of “Before and After”. Let’s see the image that you took before you thought to create a black and white image.

Lastly, included is the ‘Other’ theme. This is an open category but I’d like to challenge club members to submit ‘Long Exposure’ images in response to this month’s presentation on long exposure photography.

Below are the criteria for this month. Let’s make it a fun night with lots of variety.

1. Macro Photography
Look closely! Get creative!

2. Before and After
Show the image you took ‘Before’ you chose to go with the “After’ black and white image. Note: The ‘After’ image will be shown first and then the ‘Before’ image will be shown.

3. Open
This category is open to each member’s imagination with the addition of this month’s challenge of ‘Long Exposre’ photography.

Note: Each member can submit up to 5 images for the ‘Macro’ category and up to 3 images for both ‘Before and After’ and ‘Open’ categories..

Members can also send short slideshows or videos.  We will show all the Macro photos, then Before and After photos, then the Open category, and end with videos, as time permits.

Remember, for the best display quality, images should be resized to a maximum width of 1920 pixels and a maximum height of 1080 pixels, This may not be possible with cell/tablet images so please send us the largest image possible, up to the limits indicated above.
